About the boat

Super Hawk fishing boat FAQs

  • How big is the Super Hawk?

The Super Hawk is a USCG-inspected party fishing vessel comfortably accommodating up to 120 guests, with a spacious open fishing deck, a fully enclosed heated/air-conditioned main cabin and an upper-deck dance floor.

  • What kind of fish do you catch on Long Island?

In season we target summer flounder (fluke), sea bass and porgy on the south-shore reefs and wrecks. The captain runs to wherever the bite is best that day — local knowledge from 37 years on the water.

  • Is the boat good for kids and first-time anglers?

Yes — we're voted Long Island's #1 family-friendly fishing experience. The crew rigs, baits, casts and unhooks for kids and beginners; rods, reels and bait are all included so families show up with nothing more than sunscreen and snacks.

  • Is there a bathroom on board?

Yes. There's a clean head (restroom) on the main deck and an enclosed climate-controlled cabin to warm up or cool down between drifts.

  • Where does the Super Hawk dock?

1501 Lido Blvd, Point Lookout, NY 11569 — the public dock at the end of Lido Boulevard, on the south side of the basin. Free and metered parking at the dock.

  • Do you sail in cold weather?

Yes — May through October is our main half-day season, and in the off-season we run full-day and long-range trips. The cabin is heated, but dress in layers; the captain cancels only for unsafe weather.
